Traffic on race day

On Sunday, 15 June, the traffic situation in Tårnby and around Kastrup Airport, on the Øresund Bridge, and in Malmø/Hyllie/Sibbarp will be extraordinarily affected by The Bridge Run.

The course will be closed on Sunday, 15 June from 7:00-14:00. In the streets around Øresundsparken, where there is a starting area, extended closing times will apply.
In the finish area, there will be no access for cars at all.

Traffic across the Øresund Bridge

Traffic across the Øresund Bridge will be affected by the Bridge Race between 6:00-17:00. Throughout this period, there will be reduced speed for car traffic travelling in one lane during the race.

Public transport

We advise against all unnecessary traffic in the start area in Tårnby and around Kastrup Airport from 9-14. You should expect waiting times for the metro, bus, and train in the area around Tårnby and Kastrup during the same period.

Traffic over the Øresund Bridge

The capacity of the Øresund Bridge is limited on 15 June around The Bridge Run. Customers are therefore advised to cross the bridge before 6:00 or after 17:00.

If you need to cross the bridge during The Bridge Run, please note that traffic will be one-way in a single lane and will change direction approximately every 15 minutes between 9:30 and 13:30. Expect increased congestion, reduced speeds, and longer travel times during this period.

From 6:00-9:30 and from 13:30-17:00, the impact on traffic in both the tunnel and on the Øresund Bridge will be lighter. There will be an open lane for cars in both directions, but congestion should still be expected.

From approximately 17:00, the Øresund Bridge will be open again with two lanes in both directions.

Our recommendations

By bike or by foot

Pedestrians and cyclists are not allowed on the course, but it is possible to cross the course in Tårnby and Sweden when there are no runners.

However, several sections are fully fenced, so you have to walk along the course a bit before you can cross it. Always follow instructions from race officials when crossing the course.
